The network has joined forces with the US makers of Jelli, a popular multi-player web-based game that lets listeners select what's being played on air in real time. Players search through a catalogue of song titles on the website and choose tracks to add to the on-air playlist. Other players can vote the song to the top of the playlist or pull it off the air completely. One radio executive describes it as a combination of video game, online music file-sharing and conventional radio. The digital station will be called Hot 30 Jelli and will launch in November. It will be simulcast on 2Day FM nightly between 10pm and midnight.
